Normally I’m not a foundation kind of girl. On daily basis I simply use concealer and powder. However, the hype about the new YSL foundation Le Teint Touche Eclat SPF19 hasn’t passed me by! I’m a big fan of their iconic Touche Eclat illuminator, and when I heard about their new foundation with similar properties I knew I had to have it.

I must say, there are almost no negative reviews on this product. Unlike other foundations, Le Teint Touche Eclat contains no powders, so the finish is unbelievably natural and dewy, and the foundation itself is undetectable on the skin!

The color range is very broad, from very pale to dark, so I think everyone can find a shade to match their skin tone. The neutral beige shades are marked with B, the ones with yellow/golden undertones are BD and the rosy ones are BR.
I tried several shades before making up my mind and ended up buying BD20, which was a perfect match for my skin.

I only apply foundation on the areas where I feel I need to even out my skin tone, like around my nose and on my chin. I buff it in with my Sigma F80 brush and I don’t apply any powder on top, since I want to retain the subtle “lit from within” finish this foundation gives to my skin.

I honestly think Le Teint Touche Eclat is a unique product on the beauty market right now, and if you’re looking for a nice foundation I think you should give it a try.

I bought mine at feelunique.com during their summer sale (which has unfortunately ended by now, but they still have it in stock at a reasonable price of £28), and they also have free worldwide delivery.

Thanks for doing this post! I’ve been curious about these foundations ever since they came out, but I haven’t been sure whether I should trust the raving reviews or not 🙂
I trust you though, and I’m off today to find out which shade is perfect for me! Wish me luck!

I like touche eclat, too, so the teint does appeal to me. However, I have a large stash of Clarin’s Beauty Flash Balm to work my way through, which does the same job, only you put it under whatever makeup you wish to wear and it shines through. If I get the teint touche eclat it will be to save space in my makeup bag when I travel.

I use Beauty Flash Balm too, for nights out. But I feel like it’s a totally different product:)
As for travelling with this foundation, I don’t know.. Maybe if you put some in a different container, because the glass bottle itself is one of the heaviest ones I’ve seen!

  3. I still have to try this foundation, will get it at some point. But I am enjoying the new one from Dior now.
Also wanted to tell you that the first photo is just fantastic!

That’s a very good point, Antonia. I would have to decant some into a plastic container. Still, I think I will give it a try, as, like Ellen, I think I trust your review more than those in magazines and on TV!

  7. Love this post! What shade are you in either MAC or NARS if you know? Just to give me an idea of this foundation colour as I don’t have a YSL counter near me to get matched to, also what’s the colour undertone?
