You are adorable! Or how to ask someone on a date

When I was shopping in town yesterday, a guy approached me smiling and gave me a hand-written note. Without saying anything, he went away as quickly as he had come.
I read the note, and it said:
“You are adorable! I’m here for a month, and you should text me if you would like to go see a movie or something.”
The note was signed “Some American” and ended with a phone number.
I’ve never been handed a note like this before, so I was a bit surprised. I think it’s a pretty odd and interesting way to approach someone you see on the street and ask them out for a date. If you walk up to someone and say “Hi, would you like to go on a date with me?”, chances are the person will say no out of sheer surprise. If you hand them a note instead, they will have time to think it through before answering, plus you don’t risk rejection to your face. If you’re worried that you won’t be able to write a note like this fast enough, you can even prepare them before you leave home, so you’re always prepared for that beautiful stranger.
That guy was really cute, too.

Awww that’s so cute. A very adorable way to ask someone out! I think I would’ve called him because of the different approach. {obviously you didn’t since you’re with H} but darn what a smart way :D
