Saffron. I’m thinking of making Lucia’s cats (Swedish lussekatter), like I did last year.
Also, saffron has a very interesting story to tell!
Kale (borecole), which is one of the most healthy vegetables out there! I know a lot of good and easy recipes with it.
Six very large hachiya persimmons. These were on sale!
Sugar, milk, chocolate milk, eggs and raisins.
Carrots, cauliflower, beetroots and a leek.
Clementines and Jonagold apples (Jonagold is my favorite type of apple!).

Tell us a good recipe or two with the kale! Also, how do you prepare the persimmons? I saw some in the store and was intrieged but I don’t know what to do with them or how to eat them. Do you have to peel them or what? Thanks for any info you can give me!
I came on to ask for kale recipes too! I grow lots of it, but always end up cutting it finely and stir-frying it into dishes, or with onions and garlic with a little sauce of some kind. We usually eat our persimmons very ripe with a spoon, cutting off the top. If they aren’t ripe enough they are awful. Israelis call them sharon fruit.
I’ll be making lussekatter again this year too! Last year they were a big success with my family!
