Things like that

Today I’ve been spending the day with my family. I discovered that my 7-year-old brother’s hands are as large as mine. He also informed me that he is planning to be the tallest one in the family.
I bought a birthday present for him, too. A large world map and a book with answers to some important questions. Like, why blood is red, why we cough or shiver or get goose bumps, why eyes tear, why we have belly buttons, how many teeth a person has. Things like that.

It sounds like you are having a really nice time, Antonia :)
I had a book like that when I was young. It was called ‘The Book of Why?’ – my mother gave it to me because I used to ask ‘why?’ all the time and it drove her crazy! It answered all the questions that children have. I’m sure he’ll be very happy with the book and the map, it sounds like the perfect gift!
