They’ve got the land, but we’ve got the view: Industrial loft obsession.

Ever since I read Never Mind Nirvana by Mark Lindquist, in which the main character Pete lives in a cool loft, I’ve been obsessing with industrial lofts. Sometimes I daydream of living in an old paper factory or an industrial warehouse… It must be great for making music or painting, or writing things.

I go through hundreds of loft photographs every now and then -  I’d pack my stuff and move in into any of these locations any time!

I LOVE the second picture. I’d go to live there in a heartbeat :)

Yeah, they are very romantic, all of them! I can see why you’d want to live there, although I prefer to live closer to the ground :)

I used to live in an old paper factory rebuilt to modern lofts in Philadelphia before we moved into our new house, it was gorgeous. I loved it however it was a bit annoying to never have any separated areas, especially when having guests staying over!

I’m jealous of you! I guess there are always some downsides, but in my head there aren’t any, anyway:) I’ve seen some lofts with separated areas too, but as things are looking right now, it doesn’t really matter to me:)

Great post. It makes me wish my apartment was as cool!

I love industrial lofts too! I always dreamed of living in one and I hope someday I can make this dream come true.

    I <3 lofts :)
Iwish that I'll be rich so I'll be able to buy one ;)

Pete T. would love the Barcelona loft in particular.
