The King’s Speech

colin firth the king's speech scene swedish love affairSo I’ve finally seen The King’s Speech. Oh, I’m not even going to write a review, because this movie is so good I doubt there can be a second opinion about it. Many of my readers have advised me to see it, and guys, you surely know my taste!

I have only good things to say about it, actually. It’s a great composition of dry British humor, tragedy and obscenity. And it’s very believable. Colin Firth shows the highest levels of acting and proves to be one of the greatest actors of our time.

And yes, the film was hilarious and I laughed a lot, but I did find myself teary-eyed at least twice while watching it.

Great to hear Antonia! I’m going to see it this week and was hoping it is all it promised to be.

I’ve been wanting to see this movie for months but it’s still not in the cinema here in Belgium. Pout.
I guess it’ll be worth the wait. I’m glad you enjoyed it. Colin Firth is awesome.

  4. I completely agree! I saw it last week and absolutely loved it. I’ve been recommending it to everyone. I thought I may have been biased though because I’m a fan of Colin Firth but everyone seems to really like it. I loved the costumes and sets too…even if there wasn’t any bit of white in the movie. ;)

  5. I can’t wait to see it myself, didn’t have time this week unfortunately. Films that I personally really liked – “Rory O’shea Was Here” and “Everything Is Illuminated”.

I cant wait to see it! I read the queen loved it and thought it was a true portrayal of her late father. Must see it soon! :-)
