The best of winter

The best of winter in Sweden swedish love affairAfter reading some of my favorite blogs I noticed that no one really likes winter anymore, now that Christmas is over. Almost everyone is craving for pastels and sheers instead of red knitted cardigans, hot chocolate gets exchanged for fruity smoothies and fresh flowers replace snow. And I think it’s so easy to get in this mood too. Yet, I’m still trying to get the most out of winter, because I know that my winter is not going to be over just yet..

Oh I’m always tired of winter in early November already ;) Winter is really not my season and I do anything to escape it! Here in Philly we have three real winter months where it’s actually around 0 degrees C – Nov-Feb, and that’s more than enough!

    Dear inspiring Antonia,

my blog post just for you & you won´t feel blue :-)

Actually i love to follow your blog and it seems as there is just a bit of telepathy regarding our todays blog post – i am also in mood for a bit PreSpring Jump!
Finally we know, not only the countdown of the last (very) cold winter days is on (today i was even waked up by singing birds :-) .
Much more motivating for spring and all fashioNistas > next week is already the signal for fashion Week fall winter 2011/12.
So we freshionistas wrap out, the models wrap in ;-)
Happy last winter days, a bientot & enVie, Nini

Winter seems so magical where you live, but here it’s just dark and cold and wet. So it’s hard to stay positive about it. Can’t wait for spring!
But one bright spot is that you show me that winter can be beautiful and something to enjoy. Wonderful photos, glad to see a great tit once more lol!

I like all kind of seasons….even if it is still winter – snow, ice and darkness are still here, I can feel sometimes vibes of spring in the air. It smells differently now than it was in December.

And as I wrote in one of my blog’s posts pastel colors are more winter colors. Spring is bright and green;-)

Suck. :)

I’m not ready for spring just yet- I still have too many sweaters that I haven’t gotten enough use out of this season :) But then again, it’s never very cold where I live, and I do remember when I lived in a colder climate that by the time January came, all of the snow was very tiresome, so I can sympathise.
    xox,
    Cee

These pictures are really lovely! I especially like the first one.

  10. Found your blog recently and though I’d leave a comment as I’ve been reading it for some time now :)
I actually LOVE winter and don’t understand why most people don’t ;) What I really hate is the summer when it’s over +25 C, such weather is just killing me!
Love your photos for this post btw x
