Stop Motion

The last couple of days, the most frequently asked question I’ve gotten has been about my latest video post. People have asked how it was made, if there are strings or magnets involved. Most of you already know that it was made with stop motion.

If you use stop motion you don’t need a video camera to make a video, since it’s made out of still photographs. When you get the hang of it, you can do almost anything with this technique, including fantastic special effects.

Stop motion videos are such fun to watch, but they are so time-consuming to make, aren’t they? It’s such a cool effect.

    P.S. That’s a beautiful skirt!

  4. Yeah – I really am loving what people are doing with stop motion videos. I tried my first (and posted it) using little origami baby booties that a friend gave me. I love how your nail polish bottles move to the music! It was a great pairing.
