Stain make-up for cheeks and lips

Now that my favorite blush is almost finished (yeah, right) I’m curious to try something new. Stains!
Have you ever tried stain products? I haven’t, but I’m curious to see what the fuss is about and I’d like to buy a cheek stain. Or maybe one of those lip stain pencils. Or something in between.
Do you have any favorites in this category? Is the staying power really that great? I’d love to hear your recommendations!

I love the Benefit stains. The darker red/pink is great for lips and bold cheeks and the posy tint is wonderful for a flushed look, but I didn’t think it showed up very well on my lips. I want to try their peachy color but I haven’t yet.

I love stains! I’ve tried Pop Beauty, Benefit, Bourjois Paris, Maxfactor and Lush. My favorite would be Benefit Benetint and Maxfactor Berry Burst!

  3. Тонечка! Я бы на твоём месте попробовала гелевые румяна из весны YSL. Чувствую, они классные! Тем более у вас эта коллекция более доступна. :)

I use Benefit Benetint like some of your other readers, too. I tried it on my cheeks and didn’t like the result too much, but I LOVE the way it looks on my lips! You can build it up for a deeper color and it really does last all day, even though I keep applying lip balm on top. And the best thing is, it doesn’t transfer onto everything like lipstick does!

Had 3 Benetint – hated ((( Agree with Julia try jelly ones from YSL or cheek and lip pot from Bobbi Brow, shade Pink Truffle will be right up to your alley!

Me again, because of the picture remembered that Jemma Kidd has lovely cream blush in Pomegranate ))) You can get it from feelunique.com – free worldwide delivery + £5 off with the first order… (i promise those web-sites don’t pay me ))))

Well, I’ve tried stains, but only for lips likw Essence Lip Stain. And it’s not that perfect. Now I#m going to buy one of Lip Glossy Stains by YSL as I like the idea a lot. Do you like cream or gel blushes in general? If yes, you should definitely try one of stains, I think. :D

I was trying out the Tart cheek stain at Sephora, and one the employees told me it wasnt very good! (As in, it was a bit sticky and didnt feel good on the skin) :O That was enough to keep me away, but I havent tried any other so Im not sure.

I like Benefit’s Benetint for cheeks but not for lips. For staining my lips I’ve had the best luck just using a lipstick and blotting like mad.

I actually really like the Tarte cheek stains. I don’t find it sticky at all, and it gives you the most gorgeous sheer flush. You have to build them slowly, because you can overdo it.
I’ve tried using Benetint on my cheeks before and find it really hard to work with…you have to blend very quickly, otherwise you end up with a very strange looking flush. I like it on my lips as well, but I have to make sure they’re very well moisturized, otherwise it dries out my lips even more.

  11. I’ve used the brand Pixie before :) I find stains to be less easy to work with than creams and powders. I like the idea of them though, but I haven’t stuck with the two that I have bought.
