Sigma F80 foundation brush review

Sigma F80 foundation brush review

Ever since I mentioned that I bought a Sigma F80 brush, readers have asked me to review it.
Before I decided to buy this brush I wanted to get a similar foundation brush by Shiseido (you can see it in the magazine in the photo above). But then I read that the one from Sigma is denser, softer and better overall – and also reasonably priced (16 USD). So I ordered it from the official site, and a couple of days later it was here!

I use it for everything: tinted moisturizer, bb cream, cream and liquid blush, and powders. Sigma F80 is so versatile! It handles most textures very well and layers make-up seamlessly.

I’ve never heard about this brush or brand, but it sounds like something I don’t want to miss! :) Especially since it can be used for so many things!
    Thanks for the review

Shiseido or Sigma? I’d say Sigma F80. I got the Shiseido one online without looking at it in real beforehand. I have to say I was a bit surprised at the size of it. The Shiseido brush is .. kind of small, compared to Sigma’s F80. So it does take awhile more to work with the Shiseido brush. Shiseido’s bristles feel a bit different, you can tell it’s a luxury brush. If your foundation requires a lot of blending (e.g. MAC’s Matchmaster), then I’d say the Sigma one is perfect. If your foundation requires less blending (e.g. Chanel Perfection Lumiere), then the Shiseido one is great.

Thanks for your comment, Fieran! So much valuable information from an experienced user! I based my decision on makeupalley, and it didn’t fail me. Although, the Shiseido one does look cuter and more expensive, and I’m sure there are good reasons it has so many fans!
