Today I’ve been out all day shopping for different fabrics for my sewing projects. Right now I’m learning to use my sewing machine to make simple things like make-up bags and doll clothes, but I also have plans on sewing pillow cases and clothes for humans (some day).
I study textile management and I looove fabrics
Ikea fabrics are also very pretty and the quality isn’t bad at all. And I find making clothes for myself easier than for example doll-clothing. With a clear pattern it’s not that hard at all 
I suggest starting with a skirt, it’s the least complex and very easy to adjust while wearing it in front of a mirror.
