Today I made a citrusy marmalade with lemon, blood orange and ginger. I like the idea of making a small amount of marmalade, instead of making many jars of it (like my grandma usually does). That way it’s much easier to handle the cooking process, and the marmalade only lasts for a couple of days!
You’ll need four things:
- 1 lemon
- 1 blood orange
- 1 good chunk of ginger
- 1 dl of sugar
Wash the lemon and cut the it in small bits (with peel).
Peel the blood orange and cut it too.
Peel and grate your ginger.
Put everything in a small pot, add the sugar and 2 dl of water and let it come to boiling point. Then lower the temperature and reduce most of the liquid (it will take about an hour).
Done!
This marmalade tastes great on your cheese sandwich in the morning!
