I’m drinking a blueberry milkshake as I’m writing this. Making it couldn’t be easier!
You’ll need:
- milk
- vanilla ice-cream
- blueberry jam
…and a stick blender!
Mix your milk and ice-cream using the stick blender. If you like a really thick milkshake (like Hannes does), then you’ll need to add more ice-cream. I don’t like it to be very thick, so I add more milk.
Add a couple of tablespoons of the blueberry jam and mix again. The taste will vary depending on the amount jam you add, and so will the color. You can make your milkshake turn pastel lavender or bright purple, and everything in between!

wow, this sounds and looks quiet yummy! I think I’ll give this a go next weekend!
And it takes no time at all! I could drink this milkshake all day:)
Can I just say that seeing that ICA jam gives me great memories of my Erasmus time in Sweden.
Yeah, it’s in the details, isn’t it:) Recently they’ve started making ice-cream too! I live by an ICA store and visit it several times daily:)
Never thought of making a milkshake with jam (instead of the actual fruit) – that´s a great tip
Tks for sharing!
Quel, I find that fresh (or frozen) blueberries tend to make the milkshake look gray rather then lilac! This is why jam works better:)
