No shit

When my mum was in Paris, she stepped in dog excrement. This also happened to two of my friends when they went there.

People living in Sweden don’t realize you have to watch your step, because this problem rarely occurs here. The reason? It’s not that we have few dogs, because we have tons of them. It’s because if you don’t pick it up here, you can get fined 1 000 crowns (about €100 or $150). As a result, dog owners are so careful to clean up after their pets, that you’d have a hard time finding dog excrement even if you went looking for it. But of course it’s not just the fine that makes them pick it up. The prospect of accidentally stepping in it is even more discouraging.

Wow, I never heard about fees for not picking up after a dog in Sweden.

There are plenty of this stuff in Gothenburg too:-))….I’m a dog owner so I see things like that….especially I do not understand those dog owners, who pick up after their dog and leave this black package on the place where everything happened…

I would fee dog owners, who do not use leash at public places…this is disturbing not only for people or children but for other dogs as well….

Of course you can find it in Gbg, but nowhere near as much as in Paris! Although, I prefer to see it in a plastic bag rather than without it)))
You have a good point about public places, and I also enjoyed your “people or children” expression:)

Infact, in France there are cities where you can find more than in Paris… I grew up in a sea-side city (Fécamp) I remember always being careful not to step into one of theses… Bad memories…

Luckily, this has ever happened to me! I don’t trust the dog owners to pick it up, so I am very cautious when walking about. It would probably take a week for me to get over it if it happened :/

I get really upset when I see dog owners not picking up their dogs poo, imagine if you had a baby and threw the dirty diaper on the ground, no different.

This spring, this was a HUGE problem in my town. During winter, it seemed that every dog owner just buried the poop in the snow, and didn’t think about what would happen when the snow melted! I’m happy that it rarely happens where you live

Hm.
