Today I’m mostly jealous of my mum, who’s flown to Rome this morning! As some of you know, Rome is my all-time favorite city, and I used to live there for quite a long time. I’m planning to go back there soon, but for now all I can do is be happy for her!

Oh how I would love to visit Rome! I’ve never even been to Italy, but I’ve always wanted to! Hope your mum will enjoy her stay :)

Great! Your mum will find a cloudy morning here but not so cold today, 8 degrees at the moment in my garden. I guess it’s warmer than in sweden isn’t it?

    • Antonia says:

Raffaella, it is! At the moment it’s 3 below zero, but yesterday it was 6 below zero, and it felt like even colder than that! She’s staying four days, so I hope the weather will be nice for her:)

Is it really as great as in movies? Because I’ve heard that the people aren’t really as friendly as they seem, and I know that that doesn’t make the city more or less beautiful but it affects the whole experience of visiting…

    • Antonia says:

You know, I think these things depend on many different factors, but personally, I’ve only experienced nice people in Rome. In fact, I had a feeling that people are more friendly in Rome then back home!

      • Marion says:

Mmm, I believe so, too. I’ve always thought highly of the Italians, only recently that I started learning the language, some people told me various experiences they’ve had. Surely, there are rude individuals everywhere but there are also kind and polite people everywhere. When I visit, I’ll definatelly keep an open mind.
Anyway, this post made me yearn for summer!

That’s so cool that you’ve started learning Italian! That’s one of my plans too. Have you never been to Italy at all, or is it just Rome?

          • Marion says:

I think it’s a very easy language and very “musical”. Sadly, I’ve never been to Italy at all. Although I’d love to visit Tuscany. From what I’ve seen in movies/documentaries it looks so dreamy. All that sun and green scenery seems so surreal!

  4. Totally agree, Rome is incredible. xx

  5. I agree…Rome is really beautiful…the best city on earth maybe…from a proudly italian :) !

  6. Eleonora says:

  7. Eleonora says:

  8. Eleonora says:
