"Pop! goes my heart"

"Pop! goes my heart"

Last night I re-watched one of my favorite Hugh Grant-movies, Music and Lyrics. I’ve always enjoyed this movie, but this was the first time I really appreciated the character Cora, the pop sensation for whom Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore write a song. The writers did a really good job with Cora, and Haley Bennett portraits the character very well. Her life philosophy, dance moves and song lyrics are all wonderfully contradictive.

I can’t wait for Hugh to make another movie. I still haven’t seen Did you hear about the Morgans?, but I don’t think I’d like it. I don’t particularly like Sarah Jessica Parker, and the trailers weren’t very promising. I think I’d rather just re-watch another classic!

I really like Hugh Grant myself. You should definitely watch Did you hear about the Morgans! I personally don’t like Sarah Jessica Parker at all, but that movie is just great! Especially now at stormy, dark evenings and as christmas is closer than we think. Make yourself a cup of tea, get some cookies and enjoy the movie. ;-)

Really? After your comment I’ll definitely give it a chance:)

Antonia, I’m sorry, sometimes information get messed up in my head…the movie I was talking about is actually another one called The Family Stone. :D I got it wrong as it is also a movie wich I rejected to watch at first becauseSarah Jessica Parker is having one of the main roles…but it’s really worth watching. As it takes place around christmas it’s a good thing to watch in a couple of weeks. So forget everything I said about the Morgans. ;-) Sorry for causing confusion!

Music and Lyrics is one of my favourite movies. Light, airy and it never fails to put me in a good mood. Love Drew Barrymore’s wardrobe in it as well.

I can’t believe I still haven’t seen this one! I LOVE Hugh Grant :) My favorite film is About a boy.
    Will watch M&L asap :)

“The Morgan” is a lousy movie. I thought it was a real stupid, had no chemistry between them is not funny, the story is silly … In short, if you love Hugh might not see it!

By the way, I can not remember if I seen this movie you speak of, I have to find and view it to see if I remember!

If you don’t like SJP, I’m guessing you haven’t watched Sex and The City.

This is a funny movie and I always have to watch it when it’s on. I love Hugh Grant! Two of my absolutely favorite Hugh Grant performances are in “Love Actually” and “Notting Hill”. I have to admit that I also was not drawn to “Did You Hear About The Morgans” but most of my friends liked it.
