Making Tilda inspired rag doll

Here you can see the body and the legs

Tonight, all of a sudden, I got obsessed with the idea of sewing a rag doll! I got really inspired by the famous Norwegian Tilda dolls. I’ve always known about their existence, but they never moved me until today.

Like every time when I decide to make something (which always happens in the evening), I cannot wait until the next day to get all the needed supplies and materials. I have to start right away! This time I didn’t have any beige or flesh-colored textile for the doll’s “skin”, so I decided to use one of Hannes’ white shirts instead. He was surprised to see me cutting it into pieces, but before he knew it I’d already sewn a pair of legs out of it!

That’s so cool! I have never even tried to make a rag doll. Looking forward to seeing the final result.

:) good job! I wish I were a bit more impulsive like that, but I’m more for putting things off, and before I’ve gotten around to actually start any project, I get tired of the idea and loose my inspiration. I love your dedication, ripping Hannes’ shirts for the greater good :)

That sounds like fun. I actually mistakenly read your twitter post a ‘making a Tilda Swinton inspired rag doll’. Hehe. Would’ve been awesome too though.
