Making Tilda doll in progress

She's not a beauty...

Here’s what she looks like on her second day. She turned out to be very small, much smaller than the original Tilda doll. An unexperienced doll maker might think that sewing a small doll is easier than sewing a large one, but this is not the case here. The smaller the details, the harder to get everything right!

Also, it’s quite time-consuming.  I’m sewing everything by hand, because my sewing machine is at my parents’ place in Gothenburg. If I ever decide to start mass production of rag dolls, I’ll make sure I have a sewing machine around!

    She looks creepy by far. :) Like a silhouette. I bet she will be pretty when she wears her clothes. :) Could you also show us a Tilda doll? I’ve never seen one.
