Today I met my beloved friend, who chooses to stay anonymous on the blog (at least for now), but this post is about her. Need I say that the three hours we spent together passed unbelievably fast? And we also exchanged Christmas presents. I gave Isa this five-year book (when I bought it long ago, it’s her I had in mind), and she promised she’d start writing in it today. And she got me a deliciously smelling tea and a hyacinth vase – exactly what I wanted!
We met at a café called Husaren, which has the largest cinnamon buns in town. You can’t tell from my photo, as there’s no reference, but their diameter is like one of a large plate!

Sounds like you had a wonderful sweet-filled(friend, gifts, cinnamon roll) day!
Truly! How was (is?) yours, Patricia?=))
Exhausting! I’m working part-time, but still learning the ropes, so it’s a long-feeling short day everyday for a while.
Yum! The cinnamon buns look delicious! It sounds like you had a really lovely day, and your friend and her gifts are really nice
Aww, that’s so sweet that you exchange gifts!
My best friend and I both blog but she is very private about herself and only posts opinion essays online, while I go crazy posting pictures. Love that book you gave her and the pastries are making me hungry…Hehe
It sounds like you had a lovely time, and the idea of the five-year memory book is wonderful. I already keep a journal but I can’t help wanting to have one of these, too!
xox,
Cee
Meeting friends is always lovely! Especially when you get to exchange such nice gifts. Those cinnamon buns and other baked goods look absolutely delicious, but so huge, I think I would have to share one to be able to finish it!
