PS. I thought I’d be feeling a lot of pressure in Paris, because everyone would be super chic and fashionable. But to be honest this was not the case – the city was filled with completely regular Parisians and everyday-looking tourists. What a relief.

While it is the fashion capital of the world and there are many beautifully dressed people, the city is also full of regular people who dress any old way, and tourists in bright white sneakers. I’ve actually often felt more out of place for dressing up there than for dressing casually!
