How to choose ringtone?

I’m in the mood for changing the ringtone on my phone. I used to have Telephone by Lady Gaga, but it feels kind of old, and I’m rather tired of it. I’d like to pick a different song.

What ringtone do you have at the moment?

The first 30 seconds are my ringtone. I love it can’t get enough :) sometimes I wait to pick up so I can listen to it hahaha

Currently, I’ve got RuPaul’s “Champion” as my ringtone! Previously, I had Lady Gaga’s “Telephone”, before it Blondie’s “Call Me”, previously Sir Mix-A-Lot’s “Baby Got Back”.

When my boyfriend calls, it’s set to Darin’s “Breathing Your Love”. Which I admit makes me look like the biggest cheeseball.

Haha, I like your self-irony and how you mostly pick classics for your ringtones:) What I good idea to have different ringtones for different contacts!

I think mine’s The Dog Days are Over by Florence + the Machine. I like the way it begins and leads into the actual song which is great for a ringtone!

I have “Baby I’m Yours” by Breakbot. Love the vibe it gives me!

It’s “Valerie” by Mark Ronson ft. Amy Winehouse. But I like “Viva La Vida” by Coldplay or “Love Supreme” by Robbie Williams too. I get tired of ringtones quite easly, so it changes a lot.

Interestingly, I like most of the stuff Robbie Williams does, even though I don’t listen to him much. Will start thinking in that direction too now! Although, all of the ones you mentioned are really good.

My all time favourite is Gotan Project-Queremos Paz. But, my latest one was Cake-Arco Arena. I like ringtones that don’t have lyrics. It looks really weird when, your mobile rings with a song that has lyrics when you are in a very serious business environment.

p.s. I miss having a job and being employed. :(

    • Antonia says:

Wow, the first one is pretty amazing! So relaxed and laid-back, but still with a strong character! Thank you:)
I’m sorry to hear you don’t have a job at the moment! What do you so nowadays?

      • Pırpır says:

I couldn’t have described it better myself! :)

Since October, I’ve started learning how to sew, I started a blog to keep track of what I’m doing lately and what inspires me. I started exercising regularly. So, it was a very nice beginning for most things.

However, there are the downsides, too. I apply to plenty of jobs, get invited to interviews, be rejected, or have never returned calls. Sometimes, there are serious lacks in new positions and I can’t make any applications for a whole week! As money starts to drain, it is becoming more stressful.

Still, I find myself lucky because, it has been like a ‘school of life’, you learn more things as days passes by. I’ve had the chance to realize a dream of mine and I’m probably having the biggest holiday in my life, after being a student. :)

I got fed up with constantly changing ringtones, so settled for the sound of a really old telephone, the sort you hear in 1940s films.

Those are lovely! I hear them pretty often:) The thing with me is that I’d love to change ringtones often, but I’m too lazy, so I get stuck with the same ringtone for a long time:)

I recently changed back to “When love takes over”! :) I switch ringtone pretty often, though. Another favorite is “On the floor” with JayLo

I have the Star Wars theme on my iPhone. My ex-boyfriend installed it for me, and it’s kind of grown on me :)

‘Married Life’ – theme song from UP

I have veridis quo by Daft Punk! I’ve had lots of their songs, many of them do the ringtone job really well :)

  13. Hmm, something that sounds like Lady Gaga but isn’t. I’ve been thinking of changing mine too :P .

I used to have Lady Gaga (Boys Boys Boys) as my ringtone too but got tired of it.

Nowadays I go for default ringtones or the Portal 2 coop credits (its super loud and always catches my attention)

I’m boring when it comes to ringtones! I don’t even know what it’s called on the iPhone, but it sounds like an old telephone ring. From about 2006-2011 I had the opening few seconds of “Scenic World” by Beirut. Though now I’m quite content with the “real phone” ring :)

  16. Maggie says:

I’ve had the Doctor Who theme song as my ringtone for the past six months haha. :)

  17. Arantxa says:

Throughout the Christmas I had the tone on “Santa Claus is coming to town” by Michael Bublé. Now I have “Hatem prayer team” music group “Hola a todo el mundo”. I’ve been tempted to put “Moves like Jagger” by Maroon 5, but everyone is doing it and I wanted to put something more original.

    A kiss!

River en vacker dröm – Håkan H, blir alltid lika glad när någon ringer :} haha
