How could I have known?

Something sensational happened this morning. I’ve been thinking about it all day, and I just can’t get my head around it!

I made this post about Never Mind Nirvana by Mark Lindquist, recommending it to my readers. And who was the first one to respond? Mark Lindquist! The author himself! I couldn’t believe one of my favorite authors actually contacted me. In fact, I didn’t believe it at first. So I had to do some research with IP addresses and stuff (I’m sorry about that,
Mr. Lindquist), and now I don’t really have a reason to doubt it was him! If I had known he would be reading this, I’d take the chance to say just how much I love his books, and I how I wish he’d write another novel.

Holden Caulfield says that sometimes, after reading a good book, you wish you could just give the author a call. I know that feeling, and that’s the feeling you get after reading Mark Lindquist’s novels. And, well, the author leaving a comment on your blog is pretty close, isn’t it?
I’ve been happy all day.

That’s amazing! Just incredible :) Anyway, I wanted to thank you for such a great tip! I went to buy Never Mind Nirvana the same day I read your post about it. They didn’t have it in, so I bought Methlehem instead and I’m enjoying it immensely! So thanks for the tip, Antonia, and if you read this, Mr Lindquist: your book is wonderful, I’m so happy I’ve discovered it. You’ve got a new fan:)

Wow, that’s so cool! Technology, huh. It reminds me a bit about another book you showed in that very article: Juliet, Naked. Such a great book. I want to re-read it now, but only after I’ve checked out the work of Mark Lindquist :)
    Cheers

His novel Sad Movies is one of my all-time favorite books. I was amazed to see him in the comment section! I thought that the two of you must be acquainted somehow! It’s fantastic that he found his way here:)

  4. That’s amazing! I remember how happy I was when one of my favourite Make-Up Artists left me a comment :) Have a great day today at your brother’s party, it’s my Mum’s birthday today :) x
