House or apartment

I’ve lived in apartments pretty much all my life, and I see myself living in a flat rather than a house in the future as well. If I had to choose, I’d choose compact living downtown over a spacious home outside of the city center.
What I would miss from a house like the one in the photo is the garden. I’d love to have a piece of land like that where Greger could run around freely and I could grow my own flowers and fruit.
In Gothenburg my family lives right in the center, but it’s just a ten minute walk to the Castle Forest and the Botanical Garden. When I lived in Rome I had a similar situation.
I prefer to live centrally, but with easy access to greenery.

I agree completely! I’m the same way! :)

  2. I’ve lived in a house my whole life! I can’t wait to move to a city for some more urban living!

I agree with you. I’m a city person through and through.

I also prefer central location + smaller place as opposed to outskirts + big house. But for me, the ideal would be big house AND central location! :) Maybe one day in the future I’ll be able to have both.

“Easy access to greenery”…I like that. I am a firm believer in the idea that if more of us would take time to take a break and just walk outside and get fresh air, the world would be a better place.

I’ve lived in both and I prefer the house. It’s nice to have a little more space and a garden. My back yard is not that big, but big enough to have family and friends over for a BBQ or a simple get together. But if I had to, I could live in an apartment again, I would make it work.
