Holy Thursday

I’m sure you know that today is Holy Thursday, the first day of Easter, but in Sweden today’s date is also the Day of the Witches. According to Swedish folklore, every year on Holy Thursday, all the witches go to Blåkulla (Blockula in English) to meet with the Devil. Blåkulla is generally described as a delicate large meadow, of which one can see no end, and it can only be reached by flying there on a broomstick.
