Holiday spirit

Christmas is here in just 12 days! What, less than two weeks?! Where did the time go? And I still haven’t bought (or decided on…) a single Christmas present.

However, this is the first Christmas when Hannes and I have decorated our apartment for the holidays. We’ve even put up a Christmas tree with ornaments on it and everything.

Becoming a parent means that you get to experience a lot of things for the first time. This Christmas is not only Johannes’ first, it’s also our first Christmas with Johannes!

So far, he loves it! All the lights, the ornaments, the tree, the snow! Several times a day we take a “guided tour” of the apartment and look at every single detail of the decorations. What a blessing to be this new and fascinated!

Antonia! It is very nice to meet you. This is my first comment. However, I cannot resist, I have so many feelings to share with you because of your brilliant blog. I am just admired by it! Admired by you, by your personality – so fragile, so intelligent, so elegant, so beautiful! Truly, I am reading now your blog from the very beginning. Seriously, every single post, starting from 2o10! Your blog just puts together everything I like and love in my life too. Your posts make me return back to my twenties..! Such a wonderful time! Now I am 33, I have two adorable kids. Though, they need all my time now, and I am quite nostalgetic when reading your posts about beauty, perfect nails, cosmetic novelties. Your blog inspired me to look at myself from different point of view. I feel now extremely strong wish to return to myself trying to find time for beauty.

As to nails.. It is so fancy when you make any posts about nails. I have only one Chanel nail polish in my collection, Violet. And now I cannot stop myself from getting Particuliere 505… I guess, it is quite old color for 2014, but the shade is so smoky elegant.. I found it on sale.

Well, I am reading your posts from the very beginning for a couple of weeks now. And I want just to read it all.

Actually I speak Russian usually, but your beautiful English made me to leave this comment in English too. I am from Riga, not so far from Sweden. I have been to Sweden once, in 2008.

I wish you all the best! To you and your lovely family.

My youngest son is 8 months now, so it will be very exciting for me to start reading your posts about you expecting Johannes, and all the time after he was born!!

Sorry for such an emotional comment. I am actually not a blog person, I have found yours occasionally and now I am subscribed to it 🙂

      Hello, Katerina!
Unfortunately, your wonderful comment got stack in the spam box, and I only got around to looking through it now! And I’m so pleased I did!
Thank you so much for your wonderful words, and I’m truly happy you found this blog inspiring in certain ways. It’s funny how you sometimes meet a person who you can relate to so much! Do you remember how you found my blog?) I’m just curious.
I’ve never been to Riga, but I’ve heard it’s absolutely beautiful. And it’s fairly close to Sweden, so I should really go some day!
I hope your year is off to a great start, Katerina! And congratulations to your baby boy, he’s still so new:)

      Best wishes,

I forgot about photography..!!! It is just perfect when you make any photo… A piece of art in each and every picture you publish here..

Great photos and it looks like you had a lovely Christmas with your loved ones! And as always, you always put together such great decor inside your lovely home! It must feel special to have so many first times with little Johannes:D He’s absolutely cute with his curiosity with the flowers in the photo above, lol
