Hair grows fast

As a person who has never had long hair, I’m surprised how fast it actually grows! The photos in this post are taken this summer, can you believe it?

Also, while we are at it, what are your favorite hair care/styling products? I really want to try something new now that it’s spring and everything:) Looking forward to your recommendations!

    Wow, Hannes is so handsome!
I love Moroccan oil (although, I know you’ve tried it already). Otherwise, I can’t stop raving about co-washing thanks to you.

It does grow fast! My fav is TRESemme Instant Heat Tamer Spray and Aussie 3 Minute Miracle mask! You should try them.

  3. I’m so boring with hair products! Even though my mom is a hair stylist I don’t know how to use hair products very well! I’m trying to get into dry shampoos, so far I’ve only used drugstore Suave and TRESemme. Your hair is very pretty, btw!

I love Pantene Aqua Light (I’ve had bottles shipped to me from Spain, haha!), It’s a 10 miracle leave in Product and Carol’s Daughter Hair Serum when I blow dry my hair too.

I like Paul Mitchell Tea Tree range and Joico Silk result. And, of course, home-made hair masks. :)

I really like Kevin Murphy products, they have a wax/hair smoother called easy-rider that I’ve just tried using and although I don’t have wavy or curly hair, the people reviewing it online say it’s great for that type of hair… They also have a volumizer called powder puff which is great for adding some height to hair :)

I started little project about 7 months ago, to find the best hair care (of course we all have different type of hair so keep it in mind) since then i’ve tried Kerastase, Redken, Macadamia, Moroccan oil, at the moment using Aveda and next on the list Organix, Bumble and Bumble, BC Bonacure and Orofluido. I was trying at list few products of each brand shampoo + conditioner/hair mask + serum, I do have long hair so need all of them ))). Out of 5 I’ve already tried Macadamia is the best! Standing out products is hair mask and oil, even so much raved about Moroccan oil not that good, second favourite Kerastase, but don’t waist money on the ELIXIR ULTIME, go for cheaper and better Sérum Oléo-Relax.

And as “on a budget” option you can try Dove Nourishing Oil Care range, especially Express Treatment Conditioner and VO5 Miracle Concentrate (actually a drop of it mixed with conditioner makes any conditioner better).

    Hello Antonia,

I like reading your blog because I used to be a student in Sweden (back in Australia now) and it makes me miss it a little less. For hair, I recommend a brand called ‘Akin’ – their Al’chemy Lavender & Anthyllis Intensive Moisture Leave-In Conditioner it is fantastic. I have thick hair with a lot of natural wave and it makes it nice and smooth – although I always have to dry my hair and sleep on it to make it calm down. I alternate between that and John Frieda Frizz Ease, it’s very inexpensive and makes my hair nice and smooth without leaving any residue or greasiness (despite the fact it has silicon).

Also, I particularly enjoyed your post about ”Fika” and dating, as I have a very hard time explaining the concept of Fika to people, and why I need to fika all the time!

You have such pretty hair! I wish mine would grow fast, but unfortunately it doesn’t. I love the Moroccan Oil Styling Cream and imagine this would work nicely for your hair type. It keeps your hair soft and frizz free with a little bit of hold. And my all time favorite conditioner is called Terax. I think it is from Italy. Have you tried it before? I co-wash with this and shampoo (with a sulfate free shampoo) around once every couple of weeks.

Thank you for your advice, Summer! You have the prettiest name! I’ll check out these products (you’re right, freeze is what I’m fighting:)).
