FOTD: “Modern decadence”

Lately I’ve been into make-up looks with that “I’ve been crying” kind of feel. I think it adds an illusion of a certain vulnerability and modern decadence to the look.

It’s very easy to create, too:

Eyes: Apply an eyeshadow with a red undertone all over your lid. You can add a little to your lower lid too, if you want to maximize the “tenderness” of the look. Apply a little mascara to the outer lashes.

Lips: Dab some plummy lipstain in the center of your lips for that “bitten lip” look.

Face: It’s a plus if your base is pale and your eyebrows are dark. Also, here I added a tiny amount of the lipstain to the cheeks, but in this look I think you could get away with no blush at all.

Yeah, and try not to smile all the time!:)

That is the female stare that paralyzes men with fear. It is the “you are in trouble” look.

Wow, you look amazing! I’ve been looking forward to a FOTD post for some time.
Very good guide as well, I will try to get the right “I’ve been crying”-look soon :)

I think it is a bit of a French movie star look actually :-)

  6. I really love it, you are right about vulnerability. The lip colour reminds me of Hourglass lip stain which I have, which is fabulous.

Sincerely … I prefer healthy toned and smiling!

But I liked your ideas and your ability to convey sadness…
