I love this (fairly) new trend where you can pair trainers with anything from jeans to dresses. It fits my lifestyle perfectly right now! I walk a lot on a daily basis, so I’ve bought a lot of comfortable and colorful walking shoes (I like Adidas best). It’s all about function and simplicity for me, but I think it looks a bit fun and edgy, too.

Mother’s milk

Johannes is four months old now, and I’m making this post hoping to answer the many questions I’m receiving regarding Johannes’ eating habits.
The answer is simple, Johannes is entirely breastfed. Mother’s milk is not only the traditional baby food, but it’s also the best imaginable food for an infant, because it gives him protection for the rest of his life. It’s very convenient, too, since Johannes can eat whenever he likes and as much as he likes, and there’s always the perfect amount of food to meet his needs. He eats a lot during the day and once in his sleep at night (he eats without waking up, imagine that!).

I’m not the first one to state this, but breastfeeding is great for everything: the child, the mother, society and the environment, but most of all it’s amazing for the emotional bond it provides.

Make your own diy tissue pompoms baby mobile

There are a lot of tutorials on Pinterest on how to make your own tissue paper pompoms. I made a lot of them and put them above one of the beds in our apartment, where Johannes and I usually play and read books.

These days he loves to look at bright and colorful stuff, so I put different “attractions” all over our place for him. And these pompoms are very light so they sway very nicely whenever any wind comes in their direction! It’s like a huge baby mobile, basically.

A happy baby is guaranteed!

What could be more dainty and frail than a bouquet of lily of the valley flowers? And the smell! It’s one of those times I wish one could communicate a smell through a photograph.

Hannes and I are celebrating our anniversary today, 6 years! Well, it’s safe to say that our relationship has been going forward all the time. And also, today is Mother’s Day in Sweden, and it’s the first time I’m celebrating it as a mother, not just as a daughter.

One of the things we did to celebrate this day was going to the shore, as we thought that the sea air would do all of us good. Greger was absolutely thrilled, running around like a crazy dog in the sand (he only looks this miserable for the camera)! Johannes appreciated it too, which he showed by falling asleep after five minutes spent by the sea. And when it comes to me, it was an odd feeling being back there, since the last time I was there these photos had been taken. And so much has changed since then!

100 days

Today is a 1oo day anniversary of Hannes and I being parents and our parents being grandparents. Johannes is 100 days old and he’s been getting presents all day! At the moment, however, he’s finally sleeping (while listening to water sounds on my iphone).

Here he’s wearing one of the new caps knitted by my mum, and below you can see the baby socks she’s made, too.
