Evening plans

Me and some friends were going to go to a club tonight, but when I noticed that the temperature had dropped to below zero (and I really don’t fancy waiting in the line to the club), I decided that they should come over to my place instead. To hide my motive, I’ve prepared dinner for everyone! So tonight I’m serving oven-baked salmon with steamed yellow turnip (swede), dill mustard sauce and greens.

:) I never thought about the name “swede” for yellow turnips! Now I realize they’re named after you guys.
Anyway, sorry about the cold weather. On the forecast they tell me it’s going to be something similar over here this week :( But hey, it could be worse. At least it isn’t raining :)

I can not believe that the temperatures in your country down to zero degrees … Here in Spain we are still as if it were summer! We are looking for lower temperatures, but freezing down here is more common in months December, January or February, which are the coldest.

brrrr! I don’t like the sound of it being so cold. I guess it’s just a matter of time before the cold hits us over here as well, though. Light lots of candles and drink lots of coffee / tea / hot chocolate (preferably hot chocolate :) )

Oh my gosh that’s cold! And it’s not even winter yet. Is this typical for this time of year?
You’re very smart for luring your friends over with dinner (I would do the same ;-) ). As much as I love to go dancing, I actually prefer to have people over or go to a friends for dinner and really spend some quality time with them.
