Etruscan gold ring

I’ve been wearing this ring a lot lately. It’s a gift from my grandmother, and is bought in Rome. The ring is a replica of Etruscan jewelry. So, I guess, a thousands of years old model will never go out of style!..

It’s gold plated with a blue stone in the middle, which I think is a blue chalcedony. But I’m not sure about the name of the stone, so right me if I’m wrong, please.

Maybe it’s an opal? A blue opal?

I love, LUV, Love that ring! My favorite combination, especially in Spring/Summer is gold and blue in jewelry. :)
