Early Easter Egg with Ahlgren’s Cars

I got a pleasant surprise in the mail today. A friend had sent me a parcel filled with candy. It’s a flat Easter egg! I’ve never heard of it before, but of course it makes sense, since it’s a bit of a hassle to send a round egg in the mail, and you can’t really count on it staying round in the process.

Anyway, it was filled with different sorts of candy, ranging from classic French bonbons to the most iconic Swedish sweet there is: Ahlgrens bilar, or “Ahlgren’s cars.” It consists of white, pink and green soft candy cars. Their slogan has been the same for as long as I can remember: “Sweden’s best selling car.”

Oh those bilar. That really takes me back to my Erasmus time in Gävle… Hahaha. They even had an exhibition about the history of Ahlgrens Bilar. Awesome!

How lovely! Happy Easter, I guess :)
