Compromising lenses

Tomorrow I’m going to Rome, I can hardly wait! Today I’m doing all of my packing. Of course I’m going to bring my computer and camera so I can share moments from the trip here on Swedish Love Affair, but I have trouble deciding which lens or lenses I should bring.
I have three lenses for my Nikon D90: a zoom lens which is great for taking in big scenes, a fixed lens which is superior when taking portraits or other close-ups and my brand new macro lens, which besides macro actually works well as an all-around lens.
I’d like to bring all three, but I don’t think I will have the space in my luggage, and besides it’ll be a bit of a hassle to have to switch lenses all the time on my vacation. So right now I’m leaning towards bringing the zoom lens and the fixed one. With the zoom lens I’ll be able to capture grand vistas like the Colosseum, and the fixed one will make sure I get pretty portraits while I’m there. It’ll feel a bit odd to leave my newest lens behind, but that’s what compromising is all about.
