Commiserations and congratulations

So Sweden’s first match in the 2012 European Football Championship against Ukraine didn’t quite go as everyone over here had hoped. Despite making the first goal, they ended up losing with the final score being 2-1 to Ukraine. Of course I feel bad for the Swedish players and supporters, but I know how much this win means to Ukraine, who are hosting the tournament this year.
After the game, I watched the movie Office Space, which I hadn’t seen before. It was pretty funny at times and it felt very American and very ’90s. And, of course, it is both these things, so I wasn’t that surprised.

Antonia, if it’s any consolation, Ukraine’s victory took us all by surprise. I was quite convinced that Sweden will win (a good thing I never place bets, for I’d lose!), but Ukraine has had luck and a full stadium of fans on their side. I hope the upcoming games with England and France will end favorably for Sweden. I will be a Swedish supporter on the 15th and 19th April :) :)
