Christmas Day in London

Christmas Day in London swedish love affair Oxford Street selfridgesThe first day in London has been good so far. It’s Christmas Day, so everything is closed, which surprised (and annoyed) me a little. This is not the case in Sweden, everything is open and people are able to buy their last-minute Christmas gifts. Also, I didn’t feel much “Christmas spirit”, at least not as much as back in Sweden, but I might have been to wrong places! However, a Boots store was open so I at least could buy shampoo, conditioner, nail polish remover and small things like that.

Hope you’re having a great Christmas Day wherever you are!

PS. Another thing that surprised me was piles of garbage outside of many high-end stores! This would hardly be possible in Sweden on Christmas Day!Christmas Day in London swedish love affair piles of garbage outside of the Mulberry store

It’s like that in my town too, pretty much everything is closed. It’s a pity, because more people than I thought turned up for our Christmas get-together, and I’d like to be able to buy presents for them too.
I’m happy you’re enjoying your Christmas vacation!

I love your scarf. Is it too weird to say that even garbage looks god in London? lol! Never been to, though.

Yes, that scarf is gorgeous! I found myself doing last minute shopping this year and was frustrated that everything closed early here too.
