100 days
Today is a 1oo day anniversary of Hannes and I being parents and our parents being grandparents. Johannes is 100 days old and he’s been getting presents all day! At the moment, however, he’s finally sleeping (while listening to water sounds on my iphone).

Here he’s wearing one of the new caps knitted by my mum, and below you can see the baby socks she’s made, too.

February, March and April

Johannes turns three months today! Time flies, right? He’s now very aware about everything around him, can play with toys and he’s trying to sit up already!
By the way, many readers ask me how we picked the name for our baby boy. Well, Johannes is the full version of the name Hannes, so our son is basically named after his father. Hannes and Johannes, perfect!
25 flower art work
Hannes has turned 25 a couple of days ago, so now both of us are a quarter of a century old! One of the things he got for his birthday was this flower art work from me. Beautiful, time consuming to create yet fleeting, that is so contemporary!

From my mum he got a new set of satin bed linen:
And of course, we had the obligatory birthday Princess cake!
Newborn Johannes, first eleven days baby photography. Very picture heavy!

He definitely loves me to read aloud for him, which I do every night. But then again, he falls asleep easily...
I get a lot of emails with questions about Johannes, about his eating habits and what he wears, what he likes and what he doesn’t like, about my ways with him and a lot more. Some day soon I’ll try to write all these things down and make a separate post.
Today, however, I’m posting some photos from his first days.
Johannes, 2 days old, born one week too early:
3 days old, swaddled (I used to swaddle him a lot, and still do sometimes):
5 days old (you can see more here and here):

6 days old, first day at home (you can see more in this post):
What a big difference in just two months if you compare these photos to the ones in the previous post!
Welcome spring

Two months as a mother for me and two months as a person for Johannes. It’s been two amazing months and even though somewhere deep inside I sort of miss the tiny newborn Johannes, of course I’m extremely happy that he’s growing fast, getting fatter and stronger every day. He knows what he likes and what he doesn’t and he’s definitely not afraid to tell me about it! These last couple of weeks he’s learned how to laugh properly, so these days he finds most things pretty funny. And for me, his laughter is the best thing I’ve ever heard, seriously.

And here are the two of us indoors, so we can actually open our eyes!
