Book journal

High up on my wish list right now is a Moleskine Book Journal from their Passions series.
I really need a note book where I could write down a couple of lines about every book I read, and this one seems to be good for that.

The thing is that I read books constantly, but every now and then when I look at my book shelves I find books which I know for sure I’ve read some years ago, but I just can’t remember what they were about. When it happens I usually just reread the book (and it’s always worth it), but still, I’d like to be more organized about it!

If you use this note book or a similar one, I’d be glad if you shared your experience about it:)

I used to keep a book journal when I was in my early teens! It was fun, but it ended up taking far too much time so I eventually stopped. I do have a Moleskine Passions book (the music one), and I really love using it, so I definitely recommend the series :)

I think in my early teens I used to have a better memory:)
Now that you mention it, I really like the one about music too! I could fill it with all the concerts I visit. I think these Passions books are a really good idea in theory, but I’m especially glad to hear they’re useful, too:)

You should definitely get the music one. My brother bought it for me a little over a year ago and I’ve been using it not only for concerts but to keep track of my piano teaching – it has ample room to write notes about my students and plan lessons! I’ll have to check out the other Passions books since I like this one so much :)

  2. That’s a great idea, I had a notebook where I wrote down about the books and films I’ve read/ watched but then stopped doing that. I should start doing that again, I think :)

Thanks for your support, Marina!:) I think it sounds good too and I’m glad other people seem to agree. Writing about films would be nice as well, but I don’t think I’d have the patience to do that:)

I use the Moleskine Book Journal and I love it! As I also read lots of books it’s a good way to keep track of all the stuff I read. I always stick pictures/reviews etc. into the book, so it gets even more personal. You’d probably have a lot of fun with it, I can highly recommend it! :-)

Ida, that’s exactly what I wanted to hear!:))How many book entries can you make in one note book?
Now I really want to get one. Or, it doesn’t even have to be a Moleskine, but I haven’t seen any other note book like that.

    Hi, Antonia!
I’ve been reading you blog for a while as I like it a lot. But being a fan of Moleskine Passions I can’t hold my tongue any longer. :D My obsession is Travel Journal, which I got as a present for Christmas. Well, since then every free minute I spend planning my future trips, writing some notes, shops adresses and so on. It’s an incredibly useful thing! Actually, buying one and downloading the templates you need, you can get all of them in one. For example, I put some recipe templates, wish lists, useful adresses and book descriptions. The greatest thing ever. :)

    • Antonia says:

Wow, thanks for the useful information! I didn’t even know you could download different templates. It sound like a really good thing (I was afraid it was a gimmick):)

On the website there is a special section, it’s called myMoleskine or something ike that. You can customize your notebook by choosing some bookmarks, sleeves and many different things. Moreover, there are some ideas from others, how they use their Moleskines. It’s all pretty amazing, find time to take a look ;)
