Well I find your photos to be really inspiring :)
Around Christmas I like to be a bit “out there” with my make-up. I usually use some green and maybe yellow colors around my eyes, and I just love to use a high-lighter with lots and lots of shimmer. always wear deep-red lipstick. It all makes me feel more festive and Christmassy :)

Right now I’m loving Lana Del Rey’s look. I wear a lot of retro black eyeliner with a nude lip and some sculpting. I don’t have her huge lips, but it still looks good. I think you should try it too!
I’m even considering her long bejewelled nails, but I’m not sure if it’s classy enough! What do you think?

I actually mostly do my regular routine, even though I’ve noticed that some people go crazy with their makeup in wintertime. I just use a blush, eye shadow, some plumping lip gloss and eyeliner.
Inspired by your post, however, I think I’ll wear my gold eyeliner tomorrow. That’s definitely my favorite Christmas trend!

Lately I’ve been wearing rosy, fresh faced makeup with graphic eyeliner. My favorite products for this look have been stila’s sparkle liquid eyeliner in spectrum, a dark grey with rainbow glitter or the purple liquid eyeliner from the lily cole for body shop collection for the eyes. Nars gaiety, maybelline dream bouncy blush in plum wine, or benefit’s thrrrob have been my blush picks(I think I’ll pick up benefit’s hervana though!), and fresh sugar rose, korres plum lip butter, and clinique black honey have been my favorite lip products.
I haven’t worn much eyeshadow lately, but when I do, I’ve worn a lot of the nars grand palais duo, using the taupe shade all over the lid with the matte rose color in the crease for a warm, rosy, smokey eye.
And there you have it! That’s what I’ve been inspired to wear lately.

My routine lately is frame the face (a tip from a makeup artist friend). It takes 5 minutes, brows, eyes and lips.

I’m kind of addicted to Benefit’s Creaseless Cream Shadow pots. They double as eyeliner too

Currently I’m IN LOVE with the Chanel Christmas collection. Wine and pink!!!
Although I’ve noticed I’ve toned down my makeup look alot lately. A tiny bit of liquid liner and smudging berry lipstick… Think maybe I’ve been living in France too long…

ALSO! Dior is bring out a new nail polish in January called Nail Glow. It’s of no particular colour but “enhances” the natural colour of your nails, so I’m quite intrigued!!!

I love Illamasqua. Great products and pigmentation and their look is so imaginative and unusual. Also: completely cruelty-free brand so that’s a huge plus for me.

  10. Kelly says:

Red lip is my EVERYTHING right now! I wear Russian Red by MAC or Driven by love by MAC (the one in your post here). I pair it with a simple brown eyeshadow, looks great!

Maybe you like it as much as I do!

I used to be a limited-edition junkie. Kind of got tired of it. Now Mac counter and Peter Philips’ runway looks are both highly inspiring for me. Thank you for your pictures!
