About Universeum

Here are some more photos from yesterday’s visit to Universeum. What I enjoy most there is watching the animals they have. I love that the staff at Universeum treats their animals with respect. All of them are held in spacious areas that replicate their natural habitats.
Monkeys move around freely in a huge replica of a South American rain forest. That’s also where I saw a couple of red-footed tortoises mate, a sure sign that the animals are being well-kept.
Another nice touch is that the enormous aquarium where the sharks are is carved out of the mountain by which Universeum is located, and the side of the mountain acts as the aquarium walls. The effect is a much more nature-like aquarium.
These photos remind me of my latest visit to the London Zoo, my favorite zoo in the world.

Wonderful, colorful photos! So nice to see the blue water and tropical foliage while sitting her in grey Seattle.
