A day at the library

I had some overdue books I had to return to the library today, so I got there just when they opened this morning. I told them I was sorry and asked if anyone else had reserved the books but nobody had, and the librarian was kind enough to let me off without any fine.

Feeling good about myself, I went to the library café, where they serve the best cinnamon buns I know, to have breakfast. I ended up staying there for the whole day, studying and reading a couple of magazines too. I haven’t spent a day at the library like that since high-school, when I used to do it a lot. I think I will start to do it more often again.

It sounds like a lovely day! I’ve never been able to spend much time at a library. Whenever I try to study or read there, I get distracted by the people walking in and out and having conversations. When I’m reading, I need total silence to concentrate, which is why I end up only doing it at home!

What a great way to spend your day! I’m glad you got away with returning to books a little late :)
