21st century dueling

A photo of me when I lived in Rome. Good times!

I’m proud to say that I still go to the gym regularly. It seems my body has gotten used to it, because my muscles don’t get sore like they did after my first few visits.
Yesterday there was some drama at the gym. Close to where I was working out there were two guys and a girl, all in their late teens. Both boys seemed to be trying to impress the girl. They challenged each other to see who could lift the heaviest weights in different training machines. And the girl was in on it, too! She even kept score of how the boys were doing in their little duel.

I didn’t stick around to find out who won or what the prize was, but I could tell that the girl really helped the guys to stay motivated and really give their workout all they had. I know plenty of people who would love to get that kind of inspiration.

What an interesting scene! I guess if stuff like that happened more often at the gym, that would be pretty motivational too :) Hope you’re having a great Saturday!

Hahaha, I loved the picture, it’s really fun! I’m glad you continue in the gym, I follow with my yoga classes, and I’m very happy!

Good for you!! I bet you feel more energetic too. I think staying motivated is the toughest. There have been many days when I want to give up, but I don’t let myself. I do think it is a little easier when you work out with a buddy, helps you stay motivated.
