Monthly Archives: October 2013
It’s been a while since I cooked anything advanced. These days the rule is the faster food the better, but it doesn’t mean we’re compromising on the taste! For instance, today I did some simple pepper beef steak with sea salt and fresh thyme (2 minutes on each side for medium rare). However, the chanterelle sauce that accompanied the meat really took this dish to the next level!
I’m so happy the chanterelle season isn’t over yet! Of course, this year we’re enjoying store-bought chanterelles instead of going to the woods and picking them ourselves like we used to, but still.
This season I do a lot of flirting with the equestrian look. Overall, equestrian look is extremely popular in Sweden among women of all ages and its practicality suits my style of living perfectly at the moment. Being a young mother means I have to do a lot of things on the go, and there’s not much room for planning ahead, so I need something easily variated and not too trendy. Another thing I like about the equestrian look is that you never have to (or should, for that matter) wear it full on. Just a couple of right details is enough!
And when it comes to adding accessories to this look, a greyhound feels like the second best choice after a horse!
Today I have some happy news to share with you! Yet again, we have a new addition to our family. Please meet our new family member, this adorable gray poodle!
This is probably the cutest poodle I’ve ever seen! We haven’t decided on a name for him yet, but here are the ones we’re considering: Titus, Raphael, Balder, Tiger and Jupiter. My first choice is Titus and my second is Jupiter, but I guess we’ll have to wait and see what suits him best.
This is a highly intelligent dog, and I’m really looking forward to getting to know him. And of course, I hope that he and Greger are going to get along well, too!
Hope you all had a great weekend (ours has been pretty slow, as both Johannes and I have managed to catch a cold!..), and I will keep you updated!
Here’s me on one of the city squares the other day. The Swedish climate doesn’t allow wearing this coat too often, but when I actually get the chance to put it on, it really makes me feel like a bright spot among the greyness!
On a different note, right now I’m in the middle of writing a post to summarize my September and the end of August (I’m so busy living my life at the moment!..). It should be out tomorrow.
