After all this time I still get a lot of questions about painting nails. The most frequently asked one at the moment is how to apply nail polish without getting it all over the skin around the nails. Do I have any secrets for flawless application?
Of course I don’t. I don’t have any special methods or any stencils for applying nail polish. The only secret there is is practice practice practice! You can do it.
The sensuality of magnolias just about to bloom
The other day I got this pretty box in the mail. It’s from Lime Crime cosmetics and it’s filled with purple unicorn make-up. Lime Crime is a make-up brand by the famous blogger Doe Deere (aka the Queen of the Unicorns), and she definitely knows everything about kitsch and cuteness!
As you can see, there are quite a lot of products in this box, so I’ll make separate posts on each of them as soon as I can.
Here’s an outfit from one of the days in Rome. The images show the Pantheon (the famous temple to all gods of Ancient Rome) and the Egyptian obelisk outside of it. Some of the photos are taken outside of the Colosseum. As always, there are a lot of tourists and vendors of all kinds.
Lately I’ve been getting a lot of new cosmetic products, both high-end and budget ones. What you see above is just a small part of everything!
As a blogger I can’t really start using a make-up product without photographing it first, which I’ve been busy doing all day yesterday. So now we have a lot of beauty posts to look forward to, along with Rome-related posts and my regular daily observations. I’m excited!
I don’t usually wear black nail polishes, but this one is special. It looks very flattering and complex on the nails thanks to its super fine silver shimmer. This has already become a favorite!
By the way, Kiko Milano Frozen nail lacquer in Iced Black 06 is a very close dupe to my good old Chanel Black Satin. However, Kiko wins in terms of application and wearability. The brush is great, too.
