Friday, Finally

Weekend at last! I love Fridays for all the usual reasons, but I have one that’s a bit unusual too. You see, on Fridays I get The Economist, and I always look forward to reading their insightful summary of the latest week’s world news. They perform their mission statement very well: Explaining the world to their readers.

Danish design

Yesterday I visited the Danish design museum. It was pretty great, and I felt like I fitted in!

Goodnight and go

Having a beer at Nyhavn, Copenhagen

I just came back from Copenhagen. I’ve now picked up Greger from a friend who’s been taking care of him while I’ve been away today. I had a fantastic day and took hundreds of photos. I’ll tell you all about it tomorrow, but right now I’m going to sleep. Good night!

Leisure time

Today I’m spending another day in Copenhagen (lately it’s been like my second home!). This time I’m planning for a lot of leisure time. So some picture heavy posts are coming up tonight and tomorrow!

When every leaf is a flower

Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower.

Butternut squash and I

Inspired by Masterchef Australia, which I’m watching at the moment, I bought a butternut squash at the grocery store today. They use it all the time, but mostly in some pretty advanced dishes. Now I’m wondering how to use it in a good yet simple way!
It looks very nice, but it’s larger than I imagined it.

At the school cafeteria

It's a smoked turkey sandwich

Today I’m having the simplest of lunches, it’s bought at the school cafeteria. Sometimes I bring my own food, but today I just didn’t have the time!
